Exceptional Faculty Awards


Nominations Requested

The Exceptional Faculty Awards nominating committee, consisting of faculty, classified staff, administrators and students is requesting nominations for exceptional faculty awards.

All faculty, both full-time and adjunct, including teaching faculty, librarians, and counselors, will be eligible for nomination.

Any faculty member, administrator, exempt staff, classified staff, or student can nominate a faculty member who has been exceptional in his/her field for this award. Evaluation is based on the information submitted on the nomination form. Please address all criteria for this candidate or as many as possible.

  • Demonstrated concern for students’ education;

  • Demonstrated effort in going above and beyond classroom instruction, e.g. assisting students outside of the classroom with course work or counseling;

  • Demonstrated leadership in the department, e.g. participation on committees;

  • Demonstrated involvement in activities outside of the department, e.g. participation on district or state-wide committees, or community involvement.

The awards are limited to: In service training, Publications, Substitute costs for faculty, One-time salary supplement, Conferences, Paying expenses in recipient's program area, or Travel.
